why-another-change.html
This change comes from things like IP change problems and slow initial loading times for the wordpress site. While I’ve enjoyed messing around with it, this old sage wants to go back to something old and gold.
Or so I say. I lied. This site is being generated by an application called Hugo. Which takes markdown files, things used for making wiki’s and that obsidian uses, and converts them into html pages. Of course this doesn’t change the experience of you or I so much, because we’re still sitting here like cavemen reading an html file.
But this is mostly for a nice middle ground of speed and ease of use of an html file and ease of content creation like wordpress. I’ll move the wordpress stuff to this site at some point.
Another thing about html sites is they’re easy to set up just about anywhere. Because it’s just files being loaded as text you can set up sites on places like github I believe. Or… https://neocities.org/
Personally I’m just gonna chill with this for a bit until I wanna change to something else inevitably. Half the fun is messing around.
